When Should You Schedule Your Denver Deep Ashiatsu Massage? Do it now.

There’s a sharp pop in your wrist, you tweak your shoulder at the driving range, or perhaps you throw your back out while picking up your child. These moments of acute pain might be a reason to schedule a treatment at Denver Deep; however, sometimes, when pain issues arise, they are low-level and accepted as something that can be endured.

But with both, Massage Therapists play a role in eliminating problems and preventing them from occurring and reoccurring.

Here are four reasons to schedule your Denver Deep session that you likely haven’t thought about until now.

1. You’re modifying activity.

You’re not debilitated, but you’re making small compromises in your movement and regular activities.

The pain doesn’t necessarily prevent you from anything, but, for example, you’re expecting a sore back, so you cut back on your golf outings.

People will still resist getting treatment because they feel it can be managed on their own or that it hasn’t gone bad enough. However, the cause of pain or feeling uncomfortable can be a deeper issue and not what it seems.

For example, your lower back might be the sore area, but it could be your hip or knee that is the root of the pain. Denver Deep therapists assess your body as a whole and address not only the pain at the location site but also to correct and treat the underlying issues.

2. You’re starting a new workout routine or training for a race.

Ashiatsu Massage therapy can also be used to reduce your risk of sustaining an injury. It’s called prehab.

Tennis requires regular rotation.

Marathon training is packed with constant pounding on the joints.

Cycling consists of repetitive movement patterns that can create lower back pain.

Even if you don’t consider yourself an athlete, but you are starting a new workout routine, the body isn’t prepared to handle that stress. Muscle tissue will break down and turn quickly into pain. Your Massage Therapist can determine weak areas and show you how to shore them up before an issue arises.

3. You’re taking longer to recover.

Experiencing soreness shouldn’t be a surprise after a hard bike ride or skiing for the first time in the season. The soreness will dissipate, and within a few days, it will disappear. However, routine activities shouldn’t cause prolonged pain. Unless there is a reasonable explanation, there could be more going on within your body that involves muscle, tendon, ligament, or joint.

4. You’re waking up sore.

If it takes your body excess time to warm up in the morning and there’s no reasonable explanation (such as a new and intense physical activity), it could be a sign of something more.

A healthy body shouldn’t be waking up inflamed and sore. It could be your sleep position, mattress or pillow, or something you’re doing during the day, and your Massage Therapist will help you find out what the problem is.

You don’t have to endure pain as your new normal or continue to live with chronic pains that haunt you from the past. By being proactive and scheduling your bodywork services in advance, you are taking your self-care into your own hands.

And together, we will create a new vision of your ideal, pain-free body, and as a team, we will work towards that shared and uniquely curated goal.
