5 Reasons to Try Online Yoga Classes

There has never been a better opportunity to explore online yoga classes than this year. We have been cooped up inside, operating out of a home office, and hunched over our devices. Online yoga classes offer an affordable workout that requires little equipment, not much space, and extends a wealth of stress relief and self-care… without ever having to leave your living room.

At Denver Deep, we encourage our clients to incorporate a couple of sessions of yoga and/or mobility work to extend the benefits of our Ashiatsu bodywork. And, because a large number of our clients are under great pressure and stress, we agree with a study at Lund University in Sweden that shared that “yoga practitioners reported significant reductions in stress, compared to non-practitioners.”

For anyone who is still shy or skeptical of practicing yoga or how it could benefit them, we encourage that you try an online class. For yoga newbies, it’s less pressure, it puts you in control, and it offers the comforts and familiarity of your own home.

5 Reasons that we at Denver Deep love to practice online yoga classes:

1) You can practice from the comfort of your own home
If you have never been to an in-studio yoga class before, we understand that it can be intimidating. By having the privacy to practice in your own home, you can begin to learn the proper pose alignment and gain confidence.

2) You can hit play at any hour of the day that suits you
We know that our clients have busy schedules. Online classes offer a wide range of times available for early risers or night owls.

3) The Ultimate Social-Distancing Activity
If you avidly attended a fitness studio or gym before the COVID-19 pandemic, more than likely, you have been missing for your favorite way to incorporate movement into your day. Online yoga classes offer a great option that provide the safety you need during these uncertain times.

4) Consistency Consistency Consistency
We always coach our clients on the power of consistency. By incorporating an online yoga class into your schedule, you can easily begin to commit to and show-up for a regularly scheduled class.

5) Mobility
Yoga is a powerful way to include mobility work into your self-care routine. Taking time to incorporate mobility work decreases injuries and increases tissue health.

So… now what? If you are looking at where to start, a studio that we love and have practiced at many times is
Big Power Yoga in the RINO area of Denver, CO.

With an abundance of social distancing mandates, many yoga studios and teachers around the country have adapted to offering online classes. And, what better way to support small businesses than by taking an online class with a local studio.

Owner Laura Rust shared with us, “Our subscription-based BIG at Home platform makes powerful yoga available to you anywhere in the world!
