June is Men's Health Month

Happy Men’s Health Month!

During the month of June, we at Denver Deep are supporting men’s health by offering that Special Man in your life a CBD Oil Upgrade –on us, that will enhance your gift AND his experience.

And… research seems to indicate that he probably will need your help…

Stress doesn’t discriminate –regardless of one’s sex, it can affect anyone at, at any time. However, how humans physically and mentally react to and manage stress differs greatly between men and women.

Not only do men and women manage stress differently, they also place a different level of importance on doing so.

Men report being less concerned about managing stress and are more likely to say they are doing enough in this area. And only 52 percent of men say it is very/extremely important to manage stress, compared to 68 percent of women. And 63 percent of men say they’re doing enough to manage their stress, compared to 51 percent of women.

Further, research shows that prolonged periods of stress — which releases the hormone cortisol — can decrease proper cell function, thereby contributing to numerous emotional and physical disorders including depression, anxiety, heart attacks, stroke, hypertension and immune system disturbances that increase susceptibility to infections.

According to the Mayo Clinic, massage therapy is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain, and muscle tension. And further, their research suggests that people enjoy massage therapy because it often produces feelings of caring, comfort, and connection.

Stress symptoms in men can range from mild to severe, and if they are not cared for, over time, they can begin to interfere with daily activities, responsibilities, and most importantly, one’s health and wellness.

Mood follows action. By choosing to schedule a massage for an important man in your life (or for yourself), you will feel joyful just by the act of doing something for someone (and that someone can be you, too).
